METALIC GREEN FROGSPAWN (PER HEAD)

The Frogspawn Coral (Euphyllia divisa) is a striking large polyp stony (LPS) coral cherished for its flowing tentacles and vibrant coloration. Named for its resemblance to a mass of frog eggs, Frogspawn features bubble-tipped polyps in shades of green, brown, pink, or purple, often with contrasting tips in white, cream, or neon hues.

This coral typically grows in branching formations, forming a tree-like structure with multiple heads, though a wall-type form (Euphyllia paradivisa) exists with a more solid skeletal base. Its gentle swaying movement adds dynamic visual interest, making it a centerpiece in many reef aquascapes.

Frogspawn thrives under moderate lighting and moderate, indirect flow that keeps its fleshy polyps extended without damage. Though it is photosynthetic, it benefits from occasional feedings of fine meaty foods like mysis shrimp or reef roids, particularly when establishing or recovering.

While less aggressive than some LPS corals, Frogspawn does have long sweeper tentacles and should be placed with enough space to avoid stinging nearby neighbors. It can coexist peacefully with its Euphyllia cousins—Hammer and Torch Corals—under certain conditions, but spacing is still recommended to prevent chemical warfare.
