GREEN TORCH WITH GREEN TIP (PER HEAD)

The Green Torch Coral (Euphyllia glabrescens) is a show-stopping large polyp stony (LPS) coral recognized for its long, whip-like tentacles and vibrant neon-to-deep green coloration from base to tip. Its polyps pulse with movement in the current, making it a dynamic and mesmerizing presence in any reef aquarium.

Unlike its Hammer and Frogspawn relatives, the Torch Coral has longer, thinner tentacles with distinct tips, giving it a signature “torch-like” appearance. The fully green variety—where both the tentacle and tip are vividly green—is especially sought after for its luminous presence under actinic lighting.

Torch Corals prefer moderate to high lighting and moderate, indirect flow that keeps their tentacles in constant, gentle motion without causing tissue damage. They are photosynthetic but benefit from target feeding with small meaty foods such as mysis shrimp, brine shrimp, or reef nutrition blends.

Though beautiful, Torch Corals are among the most aggressive Euphyllia, extending long sweeper tentacles that can sting other corals at a distance. Adequate spacing is essential, and while they sometimes tolerate neighboring Euphyllia species, compatibility is not guaranteed.
