PURPLE FOX CORAL

The Fox Coral (Nemenzophyllia turbida) is a unique and attractive large polyp stony (LPS) coral known for its soft, puffy appearance and waving lobes that resemble a fox’s tail. Native to the Indo-Pacific region, this coral comes in subtle yet captivating hues of green, cream, and pink. It thrives in moderate lighting and low to moderate flow environments, making it an excellent choice for beginner to intermediate reef keepers. Unlike many LPS, the Fox Coral has a relatively gentle demeanor, with limited aggression toward nearby corals. Place it on the substrate or a flat rock in the lower to mid levels of the tank, and avoid strong current or direct contact with other corals. With proper care, it adds elegance and movement to any reef aquarium.
