GREEN PINEAPPLE CORAL (FAVIA SPP)

The Green Pineapple Coral (Favia spp.) is a large polyp stony (LPS) coral known for its distinct honeycomb appearance and bright green coloration. Each polyp forms a neatly defined corallite, creating a textured, pineapple-like surface that stands out beautifully under reef lighting.

Favias are hardy and adaptable, thriving under moderate lighting and water flow. They are ideal for aquarists of all experience levels, offering reliable growth and striking visual appeal. Like many LPS corals, Favias are semi-aggressive and can extend sweeper tentacles at night, so it’s best to provide them with a bit of space from other corals.

With proper care and stable water parameters, the Green Pineapple Coral will steadily encrust and expand, becoming a long-lasting, vibrant addition to any reef aquarium.
