SALIFERT KH/ALKALINITY

Ensure buffering stability and healthy reef growth with the Salifert KH / Alkalinity Test Kit. It measures carbonate hardness (KH) and alkalinity with a sharp color change, enabling detection of small variations (~0.3 dKH or 0.1 meq/L steps). Each kit provides approximately 100–200 tests, supporting continuous monitoring for mature reef systems. The titration method uses 4 mL water, indicator drops, and a fine graduated syringe for accurate dosing until the solution shifts from blue/green to orange-red or pink. Use this to maintain alkalinity within natural seawater levels (~8 dKH / 2.9 meq/L), helping stabilize pH and support coral and calcareous algae growth.
