PINK WALLING HAMMER

The Pink Wall Hammer Coral (Euphyllia ancora) is a rare and highly desirable variety of wall hammer coral known for its delicate pink coloration and signature T-shaped tentacles. Unlike branching hammers, the wall variety grows along a single, continuous skeleton, forming a flowing ridge covered in fleshy, swaying polyps.

Its coloration ranges from soft bubblegum to deeper rose pink, often enhanced under blue or actinic lighting. This pastel beauty adds a unique, calming aesthetic to reef tanks, especially when contrasted with more common green and gold Euphyllia.

It thrives in moderate lighting and gentle, indirect flow that allows its polyps to extend and move gracefully without being torn. While primarily photosynthetic, it responds well to occasional feeding with small, meaty foods such as mysis shrimp or reef-specific LPS blends.

Though visually gentle, the Pink Wall Hammer is still aggressive, with long sweeper tentacles that can sting neighboring corals. Proper spacing is important, and due to its walling growth form, fragging is best left to experienced reefkeepers.
