Long Description
The Clark’s Clownfish (Amphiprion clarkii) is one of the most robust and adaptable clownfish species available in the marine aquarium hobby. It features a striking colour combination of dark brown to black with bright yellow accents and two clean white bars, making it a standout fish in any tank.
This species is well known for its ability to host in a wide variety of anemones, more so than most other clownfish species. It can also thrive perfectly well without an anemone, making it suitable for reef tanks, fish-only systems, and mixed marine aquariums.
Clark’s Clownfish are generally peaceful but can become territorial as they mature, particularly when paired or hosting an anemone. Their hardiness and willingness to accept a wide range of foods make them an excellent long-term addition to stable marine systems.
